ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
How will impacts to historic properties be mitigated?

A historic property is a building, structure, object, site or district listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Mitigation will be provided for any historic properties that are adversely affected.  This mitigation will be documented in each applicable section in a document known as a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that is approved by the Federal Highway Administration, the State Historic Preservation Officer, and any concurring parties.

Although no specific mitigation stipulations have yet been developed for any historic property, a conceptual mitigation plan was outlined in the Tier 1 Memorandum of Agreement.  (Updated 11/14/07)
